Wilson Shimoun, MD, Netherlands, would like to congratulate Assyrian General Conference with their genuine Assyrian ideology. As an Assyrian from the Syrian Orthodox Church I urge every Assyrian, with the ability to vote for the slate 800 in the upcoming election, to vote for these fighters of the Assyrian cause.

We have witnessed the absence of a true Assyrian voice as we see the partition of Iraq on the ground in the politics and the media. The Assyrian question cannot be forgotten for the sake of a democratic Iraq while the other ethnic groups are securing their own stakes.
